Iraqi Kurdistan region leader Masoud Barzani vowed he is ready to step aside from power in a letter to the parliament of the region.
The Iraqi Kurdistan’s “Rudaw” news channel broadcasted the news on its twitter, saying Mr. Barzani’s letter had been sent to the Parliament.
According to BBC, Jafar Imniki, a member of Kurdistan region parliament has said Mr. Barzani’s letter had been received.

 

Many have considered the letter of the resignation of Mr. Barzani and believe that he will step down.
Mr. Barzani has been under internal and international pressures since Kurdistan region held a referendum and the Iraqi forces stationed in Kirkuk, an oil field area which was under control of Kurds.
The letter will be discussed by parliament today.
